DAY 7

Good morning. It’s my second last morning here at Samahita so I got up extra early and just been sitting by myself on the beach with camera in hand.

I have mixed feelings about leaving tomorrow, this is such a magical place and being here really allows you body and mind to relax. At the same time I’m very exited with continuing our future travels and my feet are getting a bit itchy to get moving. I guess there is a time and place for everything and I’m very grateful for this lovely week here at Samahita.

SUCH A PERFECT DAY..

Its been a good day. The morning started with a nice walk followed by a few sun salutations. After breakfast, which was eaten while starting a new book, I had a few dips in the big blue and spoilt myself with a foot massage. The afternoon was spent in the shade studying and I thought that I would end the day by sharing things I’ve learnt (documented facts!) with you guys..

Our diet is able to reduce heart disease by 70% Statin (a class of drugs used to lower cholesterol levels) is only able to reduce heart disease by 30%

The risk of breast cancer goes up with the consumption of animal fats (if you want to eat meat choose the lean organic kind)

Obesity causes just as much cancer as smoking (!!!)

Risk of heart disease decreases with alcohol consumption (not saying that you should down a liter of vodka but enjoy your dinner with a glass of wine)

Men who drink more milk have higher risk of fatal prostate cancer (lots and lots of harmful hormones in milk)

Tomorrow we head south – Mission Malaysia
