But before that I am going to fully enjoy this beautiful breakfast in front of me. It tastes so good I almost have to make a mmm sound with every bite.

It’s going fast now, day 3! Still feeling good, not hungry, no cravings, energy level is normal but I’ve been sleeping badly last night. Very strange dreams and waking up every two hours, I usually sleep like a log so this is a bit annoying.

The schedule is pretty much the same as previous days. Tomorrow is the daunting liver flush, not looking forward to that I must say.
The photos where taken yesterday morning, I skipped yoga class due to very hurting legs (due to previous yoga session) and took a walk along the beach. Never thought low tide during sunrise could look so beautiful.

SALAK FRUIT

20120424-112911.jpg

Salak is grown almost exclusively in Indonesia and Malaysia, which is where the fruit originated. Because the trees the fruits grow on are extremely sensitive to cold weather, they need to be grown very close to the equator. The fruit is also called “Bali snake fruit” because its skin looks scaly and it’s common in Bali, haha I’m guessing here but it makes sense right?

Anyway, when it comes to benefits we will find that the fruit is mostly know for treating eye diseases due to its high beta carotene content. It’s also contains minerals as in calcium, phosphorus and iron.

I like taking the train in Thailand, cheap, comfortable and you get to see things while you are getting from point A to point B. If you are looking for train times or want to make a booking online have a look here.
At the moment I got this song in my head, for non Australians this group might have passed you by. But they are good. Even if they’re from Australia.. ;)

It’s been two long days of traveling, very long days. Our journey south to the Malaysian island Pinang started in the afternoon on the 15th with a local bus to Krabi town and was later followed by bus, tuk-tuk, a over night train, some walking and a mini van. Im happy that we are finally here but not just because of the long journey, Pinang is so cool!
This place is filled with funky, cafes, bars and restaurants. The houses are colorful and decorated with Chinese writing. The air is filled with scents from incense sticks lit to please the gods and everyone seems to walk around with a smile. I want to see more of Malaysia!

TRADITIONAL WAYS

Got this question yesterday; isn’t it annoying to carry a camera around all the time?
The answer is yes BUT traveling with a camera in hand makes you explore places more. A few days ago we rented a Scoter for the day and in the afternoon stumbled on a beautiful beach and decided to stop for a swim. Afterwards I had a walk around and in the far end of the beach I found squid drying in the sun…
