Thought I would start to post some information about tropical fruits here on the blog, not only because they photograph so beautifully but because I have no idea of their nutritional benefits. So today’s fruity hero is the Rambutan!
Rambutan contains vitamin C, potassium, vitamin A, zinc, magnesium, calcium, iron, protein, fiber and phosphorus. Due to its high level of vitamin C (5 fruits give you your advised daily intake) this fruit is a powerful antioxidant which protects our cells from free radicals. It also helps your body absorb iron and copper that is essential for the production of white and red blood cells. Studies also show antiseptic qualities that help you body fight infections.
